Warehouse Associate

Description

Reports to: Director of Operations
 
Job Summary:
Responsible for receiving, organizing, storing, preparing, and dispatching merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory control and proper use of company systems. This role supports the efficient operation of our stores.
 
Work schedule:
Tuesday to Saturday, with driving/delivery responsibilities on Saturdays.
 
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments accurately.
  • Unpack, sort, and organize merchandise according to company standards.
  • Prepare and pack orders for stores.
  • Ensure all products are properly packaged, labeled, and protected for transport.
  • Enter and update inventory movements, shipments, and transfers in the company system.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, excess, or damaged items.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts (partial and full) as required.
  • Manage returns, transfers, and internal movements of merchandise.
  • Assist with loading and unloading merchandise, both in the warehouse and during deliveries.
  • Deliver and pick up garments between Stitch It locations, dry cleaning partners, and customers; maintaining daily driving logs and gas receipts while operating a company vehicle.
  • Shipping store supplies and in store product that we sell, like fabric shavers, lint brushes, zippers etc.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Post-secondary education
  • 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience (retail experience preferred).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and handle moderate loads.
  • A valid G driver’s license with a driving record in good standing
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Computer skills are an asset, for using the tracking app.
 
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
  • Other duties as required and assigned.
  • Follows all safe working procedures and ensure compliance and enforce adherence to all health and safety regulations.
  • Reports unsafe conditions and injuries/accidents to HR.
  • All Saturday driving routes will start and end in Mississauga, where the company vehicle is based.

Compensation

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
